ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I am an artist in numerous forms of art and design. I paint,l draw,l have designed kids art and accessories, evening bags, and clothing. Because I have been doing art from such an early age, I have had the unique opportunity of seeing the cohesiveness of that which I love most...Color and Joyfullness. I love to create andIlove the connected use of this throughout my work. I hope that my work speaks to make one feel happiness, joy, and love.l also want the viewer to feel the same whether it is figure drawing or florals. Art should be enjoyed.

When I was twelve I knew I was going to be an artist.At the time I began painting with my lifetime mentor, my brother in law Peter Stilton ,who was a well know International artist. I already had a huge connection to Matisse s work and in my work I always had this. It was always all about color! I began doing nudes my whole life and even started at age 16 taking figure drawing and continues today 4 years at SUNY Purchase, and 2 years WCC. And currently taking classes for CE at SUNY Purchase up until now. At the time I spent as a graduate student at Pratt, my love for color never wavered. I attended University of Denver College of Art and I also spent a summer painting at Cambridge University in England. Both were paid scholarships. My artwork bloomed into watercolors, charchoal figure drawing, graphic design and all the while, always about color.In my professional work I started out as an artist for childrens wear I then became self taught as a fashion designer for kidswear, accessories, handbags for both adults and tweens. Finally, I became an evening bag designer. Talk about adding color!|
