Blue Door Art Center is celebrating our 22nd Anniversary. We have been there for our community with in Gallery and Online Exhibitions, Writing Projects and Art Workshops. Our Mission
Blue Door Art Center is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that is Downtown Yonkers premier gallery and community art center whose mission is to bring the arts to local communities of Westchester and The Bronx that are underserved by cultural programs. We do this through exhibitions, educational programs for youth, public art projects, workshops, mentoring programs and special events. At our gallery, we have an exhibition and performance space. As we showcase and support artists locallly from the tri-state area, we are a destination to bring the arts to a the wider audience throughout the region.

As a nonprofit organization we depend on individual, foundation, and corporate donors. Your gift has a direct impact on our important work in the community, our educational and outreach programs. Your support will extend even more opportunities for artists to exhibit their work and will help us sustain our free public events. Sponsorship
Sponsorship opportunities can be customized. Sponsoring one of our educational programs, exhibitions or events is designed to meet your marketing and outreach goals. Benefits include your logo and credit on our website, in our promotional emails as well as printed marketing materials. In addition, promotional and entertainment opportunities may include the use of the gallery for private events. We will gladly provide you with more information about our upcoming exhibition and educational programs through sponsorship opportunities. Public Art
The Blue Door Artist Association has initiated a number of public art projects including installation of sculpture throughout the city, decorating of outdoor planters and the creation of ‘art banners.’
Community Gallery at Blue Door Gallery
Community Gallery is an important Blue Door Art Center's program. During the July and August, the Gallery transitions into a Community space providing multi-generational arts and performances.
Poetry at Blue Door Gallery
Blue Door Gallery is dedicated to the support and presentation of all forms of creative expressions within and for our community. Our Poetry Open Mic events are open to teens and adults. They are held on the first Thursday througout the year.
Writing Workshops
ARTSPEAK: ‘From Page to Performance workshops’ - each is unique, relating to the art on exhibition. Designed to guide through the creative process, individuals can practice and perfect their skills while enjoying interesting challenges and satisfying experiences. Workshops take place througout the year.
Children's Workshops
Every Saturday from 10am - Noon, we offer a free children's workshop on a variety of interesting topics. We hope to inspire the next generation of artists and foster self-esteem and creativity. Classes are taught by visiting artists.
