This program explores the importance of poetry and its ability to create social change. Participants will be introduced to a variety of writing techniques and poetic concepts. Throughout the program participants are encouraged to exercise their critical thinking skills through our very concentrate discussion topics. The Blue Door Art Gallery a branch off The Blue Door Art Center is a non-for-profit 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to bringing the arts to local communities throughout Westchester County, New York, that are currently not served by art programs and exhibition venues. We do this through exhibitions, educational programs for youth, public art projects, workshops, mentoring programs and special events.
Facilitated by Juju Angeles, a poet, teaching artist, and babymama from New York.
