This free, intergenerational workshop series, held on two Sunday afternoons, will have participants interact, create, have fun, and use as muse our beloved Hudson River, producing "Hudson River Water Artists and Writers."
Workshop facilitators are Golda Solomon, communications professor and Poet-in-Residence at Blue Door Art Center, and Jill Austen, artist, poet, and musician.
Bob Walters of Groundwork Hudson Valley will host the September 24 workshop on the Science Barge. The second workshop will be held at the Blue Door Art Center on October 1. There is no charge for these workshops, but participants must register and commit to both Sundays. Artists and writers of all of all experience levels, from upper middle school age to senior citizens, are welcome. Space is limited to 18 participants.
The Science Barge is located at 99 Dock Street in Yonkers, NY, on the river just north of the pier.
