"Celebrating Seniors Thru Body Art and Photos"
This intergenerational community-based art project by Evan Bishop and Katori Walkerwas awarded The ArtsWestchester Arts Alive individual artist grant for 2017.
The goal of the 100 Words Of Wisdom is to provide mature adults an opportunity to share their life stories with younger generations by asking them one simple question; "What one word would to give to the youth to take with them throughout life?"
From this question, they were interviewed to explain why this word is important to them, followed by application of original body art of their words by Evan Bishop and photographed by Katori Walker.
Seniors from all walks of life willingly shared their word of wisdom, stories and smiles for the betterment of young people near and far.
The photos of all 100 participants will be exhibited to the public for the first time at The Blue Door Art Center from October 26th to November 4th.
