The events of 9/11 were the catalyst for a major transformation of our society. New York was traumatized and this crime was used to introduce restrictions on our freedoms and create a climate of fear. The endless alerts, the constant warnings of a possible other terrorist attack, and now this virus have had a terrible effect on our psyche. I am afraid by now we are thoroughly conditioned to be an obedient populace and this is very frightening to me.
