This Mosaic reflects my Italian heritage and training while the Natural Elements originate from and evoke my Appalachian childhood. Materials include 400 Million Year Old Shale and Red Dog Coal Waste from the Appalachian Mountains, Carnelian Nuggets from Brazil, Hand-cut Venetian Glass Smalti and 24kt Copper Gold Leaf Smalti from Italy, and Pigmented Mortar.
