On Saturday, October 21st at 3pm, join us for a closing reception of the exhibit, Assyrians in Yonkers, a Tale of Hope and Survival.
The reception will be preceeded by a 1pm free screening of the documentary, Our Last Stand, which follows one woman's journey to reveal the plight of Christians in Iraq and Syria.
About the exhibit: Assyrians are an indigenous people living in the Middle East whose history dates back to 6767 BC. Since the early 20th century, Yonkers has been home to a cohesive Assyrian community. This exhibition helped to tell their story.
