James Sparks

My imagery stems from the everyday observations of the banal and commonplace which, on careful meticulous examination, reveal patterns and order easily missed the first time around.

I am inspired by the rather ordinary objects in nature that share with me the daily struggles for survival that make life interesting. Usually, at second or third appraisal, I see these prosaic forms in their various stages of life and decay as strange and alien and I am moved by their beauty.
