I search for abstraction in reality. My portfolio of color photographs encompasses a body of work that I have been pursuing for many years. The work focuses on glimpses of painterly abstraction in mundane spaces. I am seeking the beauty of formal art elements that have been created naturally by time and the elements. My printmaking and painting work echoes my love for abstraction, pattern and texture. The physical action of painting, sewing, etching, and lithography, revitalizes my process.
The formal aspects the work stay the same, thus bridging the gap in media.
