Poetry at Blue Door Gallery

With partial funding from Poets & Writers and NYS and the support of Hudson Park Apartments, Blue Door Gallery is pleased to present these dynamic additions to our cultural programming for the communty:

ARTSPEAK: Poetic Response to the Walls Writing Workshops
Facilitated by poet-in-residence Golda Solomon, a spoken word performer, supporter of emerging poets, performers and musicians and a Professor of Communications, Speech and Theatre Arts. Blue Door Gallery's exhibitions inspire workshop-developed poetry.

PO'JAZZ ON HUDSON (Poetry is Jazz | Jazz is Poetry)

Led by Juju Angeles, a poet, teaching artist, and babymama from New York. She is a first generation Dominican-American and creator of A Love Adventure Project—a cause that supports and empowers low-income, single mothers to travel with their children.

and we have gathered some of this poetry into the NARRATIVES x4 chapbook available for sale in our store.

Blue Door Art Center is delighted to announce the launch of this new community project with the generous support of ArtsWestchester. Rachel McCain, Editor-in-Chief, invites community writers (of poetry, prose essays) artists, photographers, and illustrators to submit their work. Look to our Call for Artists Page for the latest deadline schedule.
